Pula's plant
In 2023, Elianto developed a product dedicated to the civil sector (district heating and cooling systems), whose innovations also find application in the SHIP sector. A hybrid solar thermal plant was successfully built, featuring thermocline storage and a single-axis tracking photovoltaic system with electrochemical battery storage.
The plant serves the generation of heat and electricity for a neighborhood through a district heating network and an electricity distribution network, supplying a total of five users, including: a) three schools, b) a sports hall, and c) two electric vehicle charging stations.
The plant was funded by the Autonomous Region of Sardinia within the framework of the 2023–2020 POR program and is located in the municipality of Pula (CA).
Connection of the solar thermal and PV plant to the municipal thermal and electrical utilities is scheduled for the end of 2025. Completion of this initiative will enable the acquisition of critical performance data for the bankability of Elianto’s products, as well as the economic valorization of the thermal and electrical energy generated by the plant.
