From a commercial point of view, Elianto s.r.l. looks at the market for process heat production and industrial refrigeration plants from solar sources. In this sector, natural gas (and therefore both its availability and its market price) is the main key to competition, as the temperatures generated by a gas plant and a solar thermal concentration plant are compatible with those typically required in industrial processes in which Elianto wants to position itself as a provider.
The interesting market opportunity, described previously, derives from the recent spike in the price of natural gas which is leading institutions and various stakeholders to look with greater interest at forms of energy generation from renewable and zero-emission sources.
In this context, the recent Glasgow agreements of the “UN Climate Change Conference (COP26)” on the reduction of climate-altering gases and the consequent willingness of the most developed countries - albeit with various distinctions from relevant countries such as China, the United States, and India, compared to the more decisive intentions of other nations including European ones - to abandon the use of coal for electricity and heat production for the industrial and civil sectors.
Thus, in the market, especially the European one, clear prospects are opening up for all those zero-emission technologies such as the concentration technology proposed by Elianto. This shift is already evident and substantial also in Italy. Evidence of this is the goal set in the seven-year plan 2021-2027 “New Generation EU” of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR). These guidelines strategically pave the way for investments in highly replicable and high-impact technologies aimed at containing CO2 emission levels, particularly in the industrial sector.
Internationally, the “concentration” technology continues to enjoy considerable interest from investors for the construction of medium-small size plants for the combined production of electricity, heat, and refrigeration, mainly in rural areas not reached by the natural gas transmission network.
Nationally, the sector is driven by projects still under construction today for a total of 20 MW approved by the June 2016 Decree and whose installations are completing their commissioning.

Decarbonization of the industrial sector: growing demand for process heat in industry to be met in the short to medium term by renewable energy.""Market target and opportunities
