Pula Plant
In 2023 Elianto developed a product dedicated to the civil sector (district heating and district cooling systems) whose innovations also find application in the SHIP sector. A hybrid solar thermal plant with thermocline storage and a single-axis tracking photovoltaic system with electrochemical battery storage was successfully built.
The plant serves the generation of heat and electricity for a neighborhood through a district heating network and an electricity distribution network for a total of five users, including: a) three schools, b) a sports hall, and c) two electric vehicle charging stations. The plant was funded by the Autonomous Region of Sardinia within the POR 2023-2020 and is located in the municipality of Pula (CA).
By 2025, the connection of the solar thermal and PV plant to the municipal thermal and electrical users is planned. The completion of this intervention will make it possible to acquire very important performance data for the bankability of Elianto products as well as the economic valorization of the thermal and electrical energy generated by the plant itself.
